The design approach was to view the pool deck as part of the topography of the lot, with the pool itself bridging two large granite outcroppings. Under the pool, a six car garage is neatly tucked away with views south. On the deck level, a generous walnut-clad guest suite cantilevers thirty feet from the pool deck, extending out to capture unique views of downtown Vancouver and the Lion’s Gate Bridge.

Built of cast concrete and clad in zinc panels, the home’s simple materials belie a complex and dramatic architectural form.
