Located on a quiet wooden cul-de-sac a few minutes from Whistler resort, this home is a modern take on the iconic North American ski cabin, which has always been ingrained into the whistler identity. Inspired by the mountain’s craggy peaks, black wood paneling is an update to the traditional material.
The language of the house speaks to its surroundings, with a dramatic exterior opening onto soft white interior finishing and expansive views of the pristine surroundings. In an effort to preserve these surroundings, the house is airtight and heavily insulated, making it energy efficient even through the cold winter months.
