Perched on the rugged slopes of West Vancouver, this house prominently features ocean views of Howe Sound and the Strait of Georgia. With its main floor elevated above street level and floor to ceiling windows, the Bonnie Bay House balances privacy with a palpable connection to its surroundings.

Furthering this notion, Bonnie Bay is set into its rocky steep site to maximize its potential for integrating gardens into the daily experience of the architecture. The resulting stepped gardens echo the essence of the house itself, providing a visual, as well as emotional, conversation between the architecture and its surroundings.
