Originally designed by Barry Downs and Fred Hollingsworth in 1966, the defining characteristic of this home are the tall forests in the front and back yard. The Douglas fir trees in the front yard have grown to a significant size in the past 50 years, now standing like sentries at the front entry.
The materials and finishes received a significant update inside and out, with a discrete master bedroom addition and pool in the rear yard. Unique defining details of the house such as the thin roof edge with chamfered flashing were upgraded and straightened while preserving their original intention. Remarkably, the building’s original wood structure was intact, needing very little repair.
